8 Jan
Summary
- Hard drives with unreleased music were stolen from Beyoncé's tour vehicle.
- A suspect has pleaded guilty to felony entering a motor vehicle charge.
- The stolen data included unreleased music and tour production plans.

Kelvin Evans appeared virtually in Fulton County court and entered a guilty plea to charges including felony entering a motor vehicle and misdemeanor criminal trespassing. The case stems from the theft of hard drives containing sensitive information belonging to musician Beyoncé. These drives were stolen last July from a rental car in Atlanta while the Cowboy Carter tour was active.
The stolen suitcases contained unreleased music, tour footage plans, and set lists. Police issued an arrest warrant for a suspect about a week after the incident. Kelvin Evans was later arrested in late August for an unrelated parole violation before being officially named in the Beyoncé case in mid-September.
Evans, who has been out on a $20,000 bond since October, is set to return to court on February 11 for a case management hearing. His lawyer has not yet commented on the guilty plea or the ongoing proceedings.
