A harrowing case of suspected mercury poisoning has concluded with the death of a woman in Attibele, near Bengaluru. After enduring nine months of excruciating pain, she passed away, having accused her husband and father-in-law of intentionally poisoning her.
In her final statement to the police, the victim detailed a pattern of abuse and revealed that she awoke on February 27, experiencing intense pain, suspecting she had been injected. She sought medical help on March 7, leading to the discovery of mercury in her system.
Doctors confirmed mercury poisoning, which had spread throughout her body and severely affected her vital organs. Despite extensive treatment, including dialysis, she succumbed to the poisoning in November. Authorities have registered an FIR based on her accusations.
