A terrifying assault occurred in Banashankari, Bengaluru, after a woman confronted a scooter rider for driving recklessly on October 30.
The 30-year-old research scholar, identified as Meena (name changed), was returning from a gym when the man, with a pillion rider, nearly collided with her vehicle by speeding from the wrong direction.
After Meena questioned his dangerous driving, the man allegedly followed her to her friend's apartment. Despite her requests to stay away, he pursued her inside, attacking her head, shoulder, and arms with a hard object. His wife reportedly attempted to intervene.
The assailant then grabbed an empty paint bucket and struck Meena on the face and neck. Alerted by the commotion, residents and Meena's friend intervened around 10:15 AM, causing the attacker to flee.
Meena, traumatized and injured, sought medical attention and filed a complaint on November 3. Police have registered a case and are reviewing CCTV footage from the area and the apartment complex.
