Bengaluru Bar Benders Turn Muggers: 3 Held

Three muggers, who disguised themselves as bar benders, were arrested by Wilson Garden police in Bengaluru after they attempted to rob an employee in Shantinagar. The incident occurred around 5 am on November 15 near Sri Ayyappa Swamy temple. The suspects, identified as Vikram (19), Saravana (20), and Surya (19), all residents of LR Nagar slum quarters, attacked the victim with an iron rod but failed to steal any belongings.

CCTV footage of the attempted robbery went viral, prompting an investigation. Police analyzed the footage, noting distinct clothing worn by the assailants and the scooter used in the crime, a stolen Honda Dio. Tracking their escape route through various city areas, including Double Road and Hosur Road, investigators eventually traced them back to LR Nagar.

During interrogation, the arrested individuals confessed to their crimes. They were found to be in possession of a mobile phone, a silver chain, and the stolen scooter, which had been taken from Madikeri. The swift action by the Wilson Garden police, aided by surveillance technology, led to the quick apprehension of the suspects.
