In Bengaluru, a 20-year-old paramedical student, Udhay Gowda, was found dead in his home in Madanayakanahalli on Friday. The discovery was made by his parents who detected a foul odor emanating from his room on the first floor of their residence. They found Udhay's decomposed body hanging.
Authorities suspect Udhay may have died by suicide on Wednesday, with his absence only noted on Friday. His parents stated that he often returned home late. They assumed he was out or at his sister's place until the strong smell led them to force entry into his locked room.
No suicide note was found. While his brother-in-law suggested online gaming addiction as a possible cause, his parents refuted this. Police have seized Udhay's mobile phone for forensic examination to gather more data about his activities. A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered.
