A 19-year-old college student from Tirupur, Tamil Nadu, has accused two men of gang-raping her at a private villa in Jakkur, Bengaluru. The incident allegedly occurred in the early hours of February 15, after she was invited to a party by an acquaintance, Dixon Sando, whom she had met on Instagram.
According to her complaint, the woman, a first-year BA student, was introduced to another accused, Nikhil, at the party. She alleges that both men forced her to ingest a pink tablet, which caused her to become dizzy, disoriented, and lose consciousness. While in this vulnerable state, she claims she was sexually assaulted in a room.
Following the alleged assault, the survivor reported being threatened with death if she disclosed the incident. She was later dropped near a mall by the accused. Due to fear, she did not immediately report the assault.
She sought medical treatment on February 17 at a Bengaluru hospital and subsequently informed her brother, who encouraged her to file a police complaint. An FIR has been registered at Amruthahalli Police Station against Dixon Sando and Nikhil under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for sexual assault and criminal intimidation.
