PG Owner Beaten to Death Over Washing Legs Dispute

In Bengaluru, a heated argument over washing legs with tap water inside a paying guest accommodation led to a fatal incident on Monday evening. The owner, 37-year-old Madhav Matle, was allegedly beaten to death near Kasturinagar Main Road.
Matle reportedly confronted two students who were using a tap inside the PG premises for washing their legs. The confrontation quickly escalated into a violent altercation when the students allegedly began to abuse Matle after he objected to their actions.
Matle then picked up a cricket bat to confront the duo. However, the students overpowered him, snatched the bat, and attacked him, inflicting severe injuries. He later died from these injuries. Ramamurthynagar police arrested the two accused students, Rakesh (21) and Don Brite Son (20), who are reportedly first and final-year commerce students, respectively.
Preliminary investigations suggest the students had consumed alcohol near the PG before the incident. A case of murder has been registered, and the accused are currently being interrogated.
