A 27-year-old man, Sharath, was apprehended by Seshadripuram police in Bengaluru for allegedly murdering his live-in partner, 20-year-old Anusha. The couple, originally from Hassan district, had been residing together in a rented accommodation in the Malleswaram area for the past six months.
Their relationship, which began on Instagram, reportedly took a tragic turn last Saturday night when a personal dispute between them escalated into a fatal argument. Sharath, employed as a water tanker driver, is accused of strangling Anusha to death during this altercation.
The crime came to light on Monday after Sharath allegedly confessed to his lawyer. Acting promptly on the lawyer's tip-off, the police arrived at the scene, recovered Anusha's body, and initiated a murder investigation. Sharath is currently in police custody and undergoing interrogation to determine the precise motive behind the crime.
