An advocate, identified as 42-year-old Manjunath, was fatally shot at his residence in Bengaluru on Sunday night. The incident took place in Pattandur Agrahara, within the Whitefield Police Station limits, around midnight.
Initial investigations suggest a dispute over unpaid rent escalated into a fatal confrontation. The tenants, identified as natives of Bihar employed as gig workers for delivery and ride-hailing platforms, allegedly used a country-made pistol.
Manjunath was reportedly shot in the forehead when he answered the door after the assailants knocked. Police are actively pursuing leads to identify and apprehend the suspects.
