Police in Bengaluru have apprehended a suspect in connection with a major theft at the home of a Kannada serial actor, recovering stolen articles valued at Rs 65.28 lakh. The incident, which occurred in the J P Nagar area, led to the seizure of gold and silver ornaments, cash, and a two-wheeler used in the commission of the crime.
Investigations revealed that the arrested individual is allegedly involved in at least seven similar theft cases across the state. The actor's wife reported that valuable gold and silver items went missing from their residence after she had left for her mother-in-law's house, and a house key was temporarily held by a friend.
During interrogation, the accused confessed to the thefts and revealed the location of the stolen goods. The police successfully recovered 478 grams of gold bars and ornaments, 1.55 kg of silver bars, and Rs 4.60 lakh in cash. The total value of the seized items underscores the extent of the alleged criminal operation.
