Thomas Crossey, 56, from Belfast, is facing serious charges including controlling prostitution, human trafficking, and false imprisonment. Prosecutors allege that over a four-year period, Crossey coerced a vulnerable 22-year-old woman into performing sexual activities with numerous men who paid him between £100 and £150. The woman claims she was supplied with drugs in exchange for sex and was prevented from leaving his flat. She reported escaping by biting him after he tried to block her exit.
The court heard that Crossey allegedly referred to the woman as a "nurse" who injected him with substances and made her wear various outfits for sexual acts. He is also accused of setting up an escort profile under her name using her Facebook photos. Evidence presented includes explicit phone messages and items found during searches of his flat, such as multiple phones and cards belonging to unidentified females.
