His actions escalated to repeatedly ringing her doorbell in the early hours and appearing at her home, causing her to fear for her safety.
Anne McAlpine described the ordeal as intrusive, intimidating, and a significant invasion of privacy, impacting her sense of security and even her career choices. Following his arrest near her home, Green was found guilty of a course of conduct that caused Anne fear and alarm. The sheriff noted Green's behaviour was "sinister, unwelcomed and upsetting," imposing the sentence as a direct alternative to imprisonment.
