Batala Police Seize Weapons from Notorious Gang Member

On November 12, 2025, the Punjab Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF), in a joint operation with Batala police, has apprehended a member of the Jagdeep Singh alias Jaggu Bhagwanpuria Gang. The suspect, Gurlove Singh alias Love Randhawa, a resident of Batala, was nabbed from the T-Point at Qadian Road in the city.
During the arrest, the authorities recovered a Zegana pistol along with a magazine and three live cartridges, as well as a .30 bore pistol with two magazines and 13 live cartridges. This arrest comes just two weeks after the gang leader, Bhagwanpuria, was brought to Batala from the Silchar Jail in Assam for investigations into the murder of a rival gangster, Gurpreet Singh Gora.
Preliminary investigations reveal that Randhawa was acting on the directions of his foreign-based handler, Amrit Dalam. The senior superintendent of police, Suhail Qasim Mir, stated that Randhawa has a criminal background and is involved in theft, housebreaking, and cases under the Arms Act. A case has been registered against him under Section 25 of the Arms Act at the Civil Lines police station in Batala.
