Three men have lost their lives following a shooting incident at the popular Thunder Bay Beach Bar located in Lower Carlton, St James, Barbados. The violent event occurred on Sunday night, approximately at 8:42 PM, after police received reports of gunshots in the area where a group of people had gathered.
Initial investigations indicate that three assailants emerged from a silver vehicle and discharged firearms, injuring four men. One victim was pronounced dead at the scene, while three others were rushed to a medical facility via private vehicles. Sadly, two of these individuals later died from their injuries. Relatives have identified the deceased as Jamar Leron Edwards, Lyle Anderson Robinson, and Jamar Kareem Ramsay, all aged 33 or 34.
Acting Attorney General Michael Lashley extended condolences to the affected families and issued a stern warning about escalating gang-related retaliation. He stated that the government will empower law enforcement and national security forces to use all available legal means to control and end such behavior. Lashley urged law-abiding citizens to support the police in their efforts to restore order.
