Bank Recovery Agents Arrested for Assault

Hadapsar Police have arrested three recovery agents from IndusInd Bank in connection with the alleged assault of a 35-year-old man. The incident occurred on April 27, 2026, when the agents visited the complainant's workplace in Hadapsar, demanding payment for defaulted credit card installments.

According to police reports, the recovery agents allegedly sought an amount exceeding the actual dues. They are accused of threatening the man with public humiliation if he did not comply. When the complainant refused these demands, the agents reportedly resorted to verbal abuse, followed by a physical assault involving hands and a wooden stick, resulting in injuries.

Following a formal complaint, the police registered a case and apprehended all three accused individuals. Investigations are ongoing, with authorities emphasizing that recovery agents must adhere to legal procedures and that any form of violence or intimidation will be met with strict legal action.
