Vigil for Victims of Ballymena Double Murder

A vigil is set to take place in Ballymena on Wednesday evening to remember three individuals found deceased at a residence on the Cullybackey Road. The discovery was made by police on Monday morning. The deceased have been identified as a 41-year-old man, a 39-year-old woman, and an eight-year-old girl. This heartbreaking incident is being treated as a double murder and suicide. The family had roots in Poland, though the child was reportedly born in Northern Ireland. The vigil will commence at 18:30 BST at the Braid Arts Centre. Prayers were offered for the family during a service at All Saints Catholic Church earlier on Wednesday. The honorary consul of Poland expressed deep shock, noting his 18 years in the role had never seen such a tragedy. Police described the scene encountered by emergency services as shocking.
