The videos were reportedly recorded near the Tungabhadra HLC canal close to Bandihatti village.
These reels featured the youths brandishing a replica double-barrel gun and pistols, which were subsequently uploaded online. Authorities acted swiftly upon discovering the content's potential to incite fear and disturbance. The imitation firearms used in the videos have been confiscated, and investigations into the creators' motives are underway.
Ballari Superintendent of Police Suman D Pennekar emphasized the formation of special teams across all police stations to monitor online content. She issued a stern warning that individuals disseminating material causing public fear, disrupting communal harmony, or threatening law and order would face stringent legal consequences.
