In Ballari, five individuals have been apprehended in connection with an attempted murder case stemming from a violent altercation near a petrol bunk on Talur Road. The incident unfolded when members of two rival groups allegedly exchanged hostile glances while refueling. This confrontation rapidly escalated into a gang attack, during which a man identified as Madhu was reportedly singled out and severely beaten.
Prompted by viral CCTV footage that captured the intensity of the assault, Ballari police formed three special teams to track down the suspects. The accused, including individuals with prior criminal records, were traced and taken into custody in Kanakagiri. Authorities also conducted raids on over 20 houses linked to known troublemakers in Ballari, seizing a car and four motorcycles suspected of being used in the attack.
