In Upper Chichester, Pennsylvania, three individuals have been arrested following an incident where a baby was left behind at a copper theft crime scene. The baby's father, Joseph Daniels, was apprehended on Saturday, April 4, while the mother, Angelina Williams, was taken into custody days earlier. Police reported that Daniels, Williams, and a third suspect, Ray Gibase, were seen using a saw to cut an inactive Verizon cable on Monday, March 30.
Responding officers observed the suspects fleeing in a Jeep, leaving a second vehicle behind. A search of the abandoned car revealed cut cables and saws. Most notably, officers discovered a 4-month-old baby boy sleeping in the backseat, unharmed. The infant was found when an officer noticed movement under a blanket.
Authorities confirmed Williams was arrested shortly after the incident, though she did not disclose the baby's presence in the vehicle. Gibase surrendered to authorities on Sunday, April 5. It remains unclear if any of the suspects have entered pleas or secured legal representation. The baby's well-being was a primary concern, with officers acting quickly to ensure his safety.
