An autopsy report of a 22-year-old daughter of an Indian Revenue Service officer has confirmed she died from strangulation after a brutal assault. The report detailed multiple abrasions and a nasal bone fracture, indicating she fought back against her attacker. The victim was found deceased in her southeast Delhi home.
The primary suspect, identified as Rahul Meena, a former domestic servant, allegedly used a mobile phone charging cable to strangle her. Police investigations suggest Meena entered the house using a spare key and attacked her in her study. He is also suspected of rape and theft, having allegedly taken cash and jewelry after breaking open a locker.
Meena was apprehended within hours of the crime in Dwarka. Authorities are also investigating his potential involvement in another rape case in Alwar, Rajasthan. CCTV footage reportedly shows him entering and leaving the victim's colony within an hour on the day of the incident, approximately 30 minutes before her parents returned home.
