A critical arrest has been made in the tragic case of 85-year-old Chris Baghsarian, who was abducted from his Sydney home on February 13 and later found deceased. Police have apprehended Deklin Donnelly, 23, identifying him as a "major player" in the crime. Detectives allege Donnelly facilitated the kidnapping and arranged for the disposal of Mr. Baghsarian's body, though the victim was not the intended target and was taken due to mistaken identity.
Donnelly faces multiple charges including murder, unlawful firearm possession, and drug offenses. He was refused bail and is scheduled to appear in court on March 26. This latest arrest follows the apprehension of two other men on February 25 in connection with the incident. Police believe the elaborate kidnapping may have involved up to nine individuals and occurred at a property in Dural before the remains were transported to Pitt Town.
