Fired Worker Allegedly Torches Former Employer's Hay
23 Sep
Summary
- Former employee arrested for arson at Arizona feed store.
- Fire caused an estimated $60,000 in inventory loss.
- Alleged motive tied to recent termination from employment.

Noah Aaron Ross, 23, was arrested on September 21 in Maricopa County, Arizona, and charged with multiple offenses, including arson. The charges stem from a fire that occurred on June 30 at Three Bars Feed and Tack in New River, Arizona, where Ross had previously been employed.
The fire significantly impacted the business, destroying hay bales and a storage container. The store's owner reported that the loss of inventory alone amounted to $60,000. The incident left the owner and staff feeling saddened, scared, and angry.
According to court documents, Ross allegedly confessed to investigators that he and a friend decided to "do something fun" while drinking on the property. He is accused of using a torch lighter to ignite the hay bales.
Investigators were able to connect Ross to the fire by analyzing the store's WiFi network. Records showed that an iPhone named "Noah" connected to the employee-only network after Ross's termination, and the password had not been updated.
