23 Mar
Summary
- Four ambulances from a Jewish organization were destroyed overnight.
- Prime Minister Starmer condemned the incident as antisemitic arson.
- A militant group claiming Iran links has reportedly claimed responsibility.

Four ambulances belonging to the Hatzola volunteer organization in north London were set ablaze overnight in what Prime Minister Keir Starmer described as a deeply shocking antisemitic arson attack. The London Fire Brigade dispatched 40 firefighters to the scene, where multiple cylinders on the vehicles exploded, shattering windows in a nearby apartment block. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
An Iran-aligned militant collective called the Islamic Movement of the People of the Right Hand has reportedly claimed responsibility for the attack. This group has been linked to similar fires in Belgium, Greece, and the Netherlands. Prime Minister Starmer strongly condemned the incident, stating that antisemitism is unacceptable. Israel's embassy in Britain highlighted a global rise in attacks on Jewish targets since October 2023 and urged decisive action to combat intimidation.
