A homicide investigation is underway in the Antelope Valley following the discovery of a 67-year-old man found dead on his porch. Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department deputies responded to the 30700 block of 165th Street East in Llano early Sunday morning.
Upon arrival, they found Carl Grillmair suffering from a fatal gunshot wound. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene. The investigation into the shooting call was concurrent with a carjacking report in the same area.
Deputies arrested a suspect for the carjacking offense. This individual is now considered a person of interest in the ongoing murder investigation. No arrests have been made in connection with the shooting death. The Sheriff's Department is asking anyone with information to come forward.
