MoD Settles High Court Claim Against Ant Middleton
9 Mar
Summary
- Ministry of Defence sued presenter Ant Middleton for sharing confidential special forces details.
- Middleton denied breaching contract, calling legal action disproportionate.
- Settlement reached, with Middleton recommitting to confidentiality agreement terms.

The Ministry of Defence (MoD) has concluded its High Court claim against television presenter Ant Middleton. The department had initiated legal action in October for an alleged breach of contract, asserting that Mr. Middleton shared confidential details from his time in the special forces.
Barristers for the MoD argued that Mr. Middleton signed an agreement preventing disclosure of UK special forces information. They claimed this contract was breached in a July podcast episode. Mr. Middleton, however, denied the allegations, stating the legal action was disproportionate and that the information was easily obtainable.
Following a further hearing that did not proceed earlier this month, an MoD spokesperson confirmed the settlement on Sunday. It is understood that Mr. Middleton has recommitted to adhering to the terms of his confidentiality agreement as part of this resolution. The case, which included a temporary injunction against Mr. Middleton, has now been settled.
