Filthy home leads to lifetime animal ban for Bradford woman
8 Dec
Summary
- Woman banned for life from keeping animals due to neglect.
- Home found ankle-deep in faeces and covered in rubbish.
- Five dogs and two cats discovered in appalling living conditions.

Nicole Stoker, 45, from Bradford, has been permanently banned from owning animals after admitting to an animal welfare offence. The ban follows an RSPCA investigation where inspectors found five dogs and two cats in severely neglected conditions at her home on Moorhouse Avenue.
During an inspection in April, RSPCA officers discovered large amounts of faeces and rubbish throughout the property, with some areas described as "ankle deep" in filth. Several animals exhibited behavioural problems and lack of socialisation, leading to two dogs being euthanized. The remaining pets are now in the care of the RSPCA.
Stoker was handed a suspended three-month jail sentence, a £250 costs order, and a £154 victim surcharge by Bradford Magistrates' Court. Her defence stated she was overwhelmed by the number of pets she was caring for, but the court's decision reflects the severity of the animal welfare breach.
