The alleged incident occurred during the first half of a Premier League match at Anfield on August 15. The match was temporarily halted by the referee after Semenyo reported the abuse.
The accused, Mark Mogan, 47, appeared at Liverpool Magistrates' Court and confirmed his name, date of birth, and address before entering his plea. He was granted conditional bail, which includes a prohibition from contacting Semenyo and a ban from attending regulated football matches in the UK.
