Pune police have successfully apprehended Ganesh alias Suraj Ashok Vadda, a suspected member of the notorious Andekar gang, who had been evading capture for two years. In a coordinated operation, authorities also detained a 17-year-old boy associated with the same gang. The seizure included two country-made pistols valued at Rs 80,000, along with various sharp weapons and the scooter used by the minor. This swift action highlights the police's commitment to dismantling organized criminal activities within the region.
Following these arrests, further searches were conducted at the residences of other gang members. These efforts yielded substantial recoveries, including gold and other valuables estimated to be worth Rs 18.84 lakh. The operation underscores the ongoing efforts to curb gang-related crime and maintain public safety.
