Amritsar Police Seize 40kg Heroin, Bust Major Drug Ring

The counter-intelligence wing of Amritsar police has successfully dismantled a major narcotics smuggling module, confiscating 40 kilograms of heroin and arresting four individuals. The operation took place in Kot Isse Khan village, Moga district, on Thursday.
Authorities revealed that the arrested smugglers were instructed by a habitual narco-smuggler, with plans to distribute the seized drugs throughout Punjab. The police have registered an FIR at the SSOC police station in Amritsar and are actively investigating to map the entire supply chain.
Further investigation is focused on identifying upstream and downstream linkages and probing potential cross-border connections. Sources indicate that the arrested individuals may have ties to Pakistan, and authorities are diligently pursuing these leads.
