Amitabh Bachchan's home on bomb threat list
6 Nov
Summary
- Amitabh Bachchan's Juhu bungalow, Jalsa, was named in a bomb threat email.
- Mumbai authorities searched multiple locations, finding no suspicious items.
- Security around Bollywood personalities has been heightened recently.

Mumbai authorities received a bomb threat email on November 6, 2026, that included Amitabh Bachchan's Juhu residence, Jalsa, among other prominent locations. Security agencies promptly initiated searches at all mentioned sites, such as the Bombay High Court, BSE, and Mahalaxmi Racecourse. Bomb Detection and Disposal Squads conducted thorough inspections, but no suspicious items were discovered.
This latest threat follows a similar alert received by the Mumbai mayor's office on Friday, October 23, which also named Bachchan's residence and Mahalaxmi Racecourse. Following that earlier threat, security was enhanced outside Jalsa, with Amitabh Bachchan and his son Abhishek Bachchan implementing additional precautions during fan interactions.
The heightened security measures are also a response to increased concerns for Bollywood personalities, particularly after a firing incident in Juhu on October 18, where shots were fired at Tiger Shroff's car, injuring two people. Three suspects were later apprehended in Rajasthan.
Separately, Amitabh Bachchan recently shared on his Tumblr blog that he requires more rest for his recovery.
