Summary
- Alleged murder-for-hire plot proceeds while defendant receives monthly payouts.
- Defendant claims ankle monitor hinders modeling and influencer career prospects.
- Trial is delayed due to underfunding and case backlog in the Bahamas.

Lindsay Shiver, 39, is awaiting trial in the Bahamas for allegedly conspiring to hire a hitman to kill her estranged husband, Robert Shiver. Court documents reveal that despite these serious accusations, Shiver is reportedly receiving substantial financial support from her estranged husband, allegedly over $500,000 in 2025 alone and at least $30,000 per month. This support is part of their ongoing divorce proceedings in Georgia. Shiver petitioned to have her GPS ankle tag removed, arguing it impedes her modeling and influencer work, but prosecutors oppose this, citing her financial needs and her family's wealth.
Shiver's trial, originally scheduled for July, has been postponed multiple times due to the Bahamian justice system's underfunding and case backlog. She was charged in the Bahamas with conspiring with her boyfriend to have a hitman kill Robert Shiver, allegedly sending a WhatsApp message with the instruction 'kill him.' The prosecution's case relies on a disputed confession, which Shiver claims was made out of anger and frustration. The judge is expected to rule on the bail issue, including the ankle monitor, on April 29.
The couple, who share three children, were once living a life of extreme luxury, including a $3 million mansion and a private jet. Their divorce proceedings initiated in April 2023, with accusations of infidelity and cruel treatment from both sides. Robert Shiver has since moved on, having previously dated reality TV personality Savannah Chrisley.
