Albanian Gang's £3M Luxury Home Raids Exposed

An Albanian crime group, responsible for at least 59 burglaries across eight UK counties, has been dismantled following a ten-month investigation. The gang targeted luxury homes, stealing jewellery, safes, designer goods, and watches valued at up to £3 million. Their tactics involved gaining entry through first-floor windows and using tools to force their way in.

Footage showed masked members hauling a safe over a garden fence during one raid in Cheshire. The group, some of whom were illegal immigrants, used hire cars and travel hundreds of miles to carry out their crimes. A medical student aided the gang by hiring vehicles, drawing comparisons to the infamous duo Bonnie and Clyde.

Sentencing four members at Chester Crown Court, Judge Patrick Thompson highlighted the devastating impact on victims, who felt their sense of safety and security had been shattered. The investigation, which began in October 2024, involved analysing mobile phone data and ANPR technology. Several gang members have received lengthy prison sentences, with deportation to follow.
