Akshay Kumar's daughter harassed online, police arrest suspect

Maharashtra Cyber police have apprehended the first suspect in the cyber harassment case involving actor Akshay Kumar's 13-year-old daughter. The incident occurred on an online gaming platform where Kumar's daughter received inappropriate messages and was asked for nude pictures. Kumar had previously shared this harrowing experience during Cyber Awareness Month 2025, recounting how a stranger escalated from courteous conversation to demanding explicit images after learning her gender.

This experience prompted Kumar to appeal for mandatory weekly cybercrime awareness sessions in schools. He emphasized the escalating nature of cybercrime, likening it to a threat surpassing street crime, and stressed the critical need for digital safety education for children. Recent sessions organized in Mumbai colleges have aimed to educate students on preventing online financial fraud, social media security, phishing, and cyberbullying.
