In a significant bust, Ahmedabad's Local Crime Branch (LCB) has dismantled a theft ring responsible for the disappearance of 31 Honda Activa scooters from a warehouse. The operation, led by insiders at the facility, resulted in the recovery of 26 scooters valued at Rs 23.25 lakh.
The scheme involved a warehouse employee who exploited showroom orders to dispatch additional vehicles. These scooters were then handed over to an accomplice who sold them in rural areas at reduced prices, claiming they were company-damaged. This allowed the accused to pocket substantial profits per vehicle.
