Wife and Lover Arrested for Staging Suicide After Murder

In Uttar Pradesh's Agra district, a 23-year-old woman and her 23-year-old lover have been apprehended by police. They are suspected of murdering her 24-year-old husband and subsequently attempting to disguise the act as a suicide. The couple allegedly smothered the victim with a pillow before hanging his body with a saree to create the illusion of self-harm.

The complaint was filed by the deceased's father on February 12, alleging foul play by his son's wife and her accomplice. Authorities recovered the murder weapon, a pillow, and the saree used in the staging. During interrogation, the lover confessed that the wife had called him to her home, and when the husband discovered them, a struggle ensued.

The accused admitted that on the night of February 10, they smothered Luvkesh Tomar with a pillow while his wife restrained him. Following the murder, they staged the scene to appear as a suicide, informing family members around 4 am on February 10. The family, suspecting foul play, alerted the police, leading to the swift arrest of the couple.
