In Agra, a 16-year-old boy named Chandraveer Singh met a tragic end due to his relationship with a girl. Her family, opposed to their months-long bond, allegedly orchestrated his murder. The victim, a Class 11 student preparing for Agniveer, was reportedly lured by his friend Abhishek Singh and Abhishek's relatives to a forested area on March 20.
According to police reports, Abhishek Singh, his father Vijay Singh, and uncle Rajkumar devised a plan after their attempts to stop Chandraveer failed. They enlisted Abhishek, cousin Ramu, and kin Umesh to first gain Chandraveer's trust. Once Chandraveer was lured to a well, Ramu and Umesh joined in the assault, ultimately throwing the semi-conscious boy into the water.
Three individuals, Abhishek, Vijay, and Ramu, have been apprehended and confessed to the crime. They stated the motive was to protect their sister's honor. Authorities are actively searching for the remaining two accused, Rajkumar and Umesh. An FIR has been registered under relevant sections of the BNS for murder and criminal conspiracy.
