A man in Agra died on Saturday after allegedly falling from the third floor of a building while police conducted a raid. The 38-year-old, identified as Lalit Rajput, was reportedly present in the building when constables arrived to investigate a tip about gambling. According to police, individuals present fled upon their arrival.
Later, information emerged that Rajput had died during hospital treatment. The deceased's family, however, has accused two constables of pushing him from the building and entering without informing seniors. These allegations led to a protest by the family on Saturday morning.
In response to the family's accusations, the two constables involved have been suspended immediately. An impartial investigation into the incident has been handed over to the assistant commissioner of police. Further legal action will be determined based on the investigation's findings and evidence collected from the scene.
