During the flight, Lundeen reportedly engaged in a tirade, directing racial and anti-gay slurs at fellow passengers and the flight crew. The situation escalated when he allegedly became physical, striking a passenger and another individual who attempted to intervene. Crew members and three other passengers then restrained Lundeen, securing him to his seat with duct tape and zip ties.
The flight was diverted to Baltimore, where authorities took Lundeen into custody. He faces charges of second-degree assault and disorderly conduct, with the FBI also investigating for potential federal charges. Lundeen has since been released as the legal process continues.
