In a move that shattered industry norms, a prominent Malayalam actress reported her abduction and assault on February 18, 2017, just a day after the harrowing incident occurred. She was attacked by a group of men inside a moving vehicle while en route to a film set in Thrissur, with videos of the assault being recorded.
