Actor Rohullah Mehdi Nabbed in Drug Bust

Actor and model Rohullah Mehdi was apprehended in Mumbai by the Kashimira Police Crime Branch as part of an investigation into an alleged drug network. The operation, which took place in the Mira Road area, resulted in the seizure of 28 grams of MD drugs, with an estimated value of Rs 5.60 lakh, from Mehdi and an associate.

Investigators discovered that the drug deals were orchestrated and managed through various social media applications, including Snapchat and WhatsApp. Police set up a sting operation using a decoy customer, leading to the arrest of an individual identified as Kasif during an alleged drug transaction. Kasif subsequently named Mehdi.

Mehdi, originally from Budgam in Jammu and Kashmir, was arrested outside a Malad studio where he was filming. He has previously worked with actor Shahid Kapoor and appeared in several web series. He was presented before a court and remanded to five days of police custody. The police are continuing their investigation to uncover further links within the network and to ascertain if other individuals from the film industry are involved.
