18 Feb
Summary
- Ex-wife told police about threats from gang boss.
- Victim owed £120,000 debt to the gang boss.
- Ten people are on trial for murder and drug offenses.

A gang boss made death threats against a man over a substantial £120,000 debt shortly before he was attacked with acid, Winchester Crown Court heard. Paris Wilson, the ex-wife of victim Danny Cahalane, told police she had been threatened by Ryan Kennedy, known as Frost. Kennedy allegedly warned Cahalane that his family would have to pay the debt.
Cahalane, 38, died in May of last year from injuries sustained during the acid attack at his home in Plymouth on 21 February of the previous year. Wilson, who was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder, stated that Kennedy had threatened her directly, even saying he would "blow him up and melt his face off."
Ten people are on trial, accused of offenses including murder, manslaughter, attempted kidnapping, and membership in a drug supply gang. All defendants have pleaded not guilty to the charges, and the trial is ongoing. Wilson maintained she had no knowledge of the acid attack itself.
