Accused Storms Kanjiramkulam Police Station, Sparks Tense Confrontation

On November 12th, 2025, a dramatic incident unfolded at the Kanjiramkulam police station in Thiruvananthapuram. Around 2:30 pm, a 49-year-old man named Shibu S Nair allegedly stormed into the station, creating a tense atmosphere.

According to the police, Nair, who is an accused in over 40 criminal cases, forcibly entered the station and attempted to damage the entrance by kicking the door. He then reportedly smashed a glass panel, further escalating the situation. The dramatic incident was captured on video and circulated on social media, sparking concern among local residents.

After gaining entry, Nair is said to have created a chaotic atmosphere, raising fears of a major security breach inside the station. He also allegedly attacked an additional sub-inspector. However, the police managed to take Nair into custody, and the arrest was recorded on Monday.

Nair was later remanded in judicial custody for 14 days. The incident has raised questions about security measures at the police station and the need for better management of repeat offenders.
