Days after a man was found dead on railway tracks, an abetment to suicide case was registered on January 13, 2026, against his wife and her alleged lover. Vikram Kumar, 35, from Ambala, was discovered deceased between Bijwasan and Gurgaon on January 5, 2026. His brother's complaint detailed that Vikram had sent a video to relatives before his death, explicitly naming his wife, Ritu Devi, and her alleged lover, Vipin alias Prince Jaat.
The Government Railway Police initiated the FIR based on the complaint, with initial inquiries and the autopsy suggesting suicide due to blunt force trauma. Rohit, the deceased's brother, claimed Vikram had been subjected to mental harassment and threats by Vipin, compounded by his wife's repeated departures, which led him to take his life. The couple married in May 2015 and had two children.
According to Rohit, Ritu first left Vikram in October 2025, eloping with Vipin, but returned in December after police intervention and a statement promising to end the relationship. However, she reportedly left again with Vipin on January 5, 2026. Rohit also alleged that upon contacting Vipin, Vikram faced abuse and death threats, including threats against his children, and that jewelry and Rs 40,000 were missing from the home.
