Summary

- Schwitzky had accused Goldberg of holding her head underwater.
- Judge cited inconsistent witness testimony and reasonable doubt.

In a West Palm Beach, Florida courtroom on Thursday, Cole Goldberg was acquitted of attempted murder charges. Goldberg was accused by '90 Day Fiancé' alum Caroline Schwitzky of trying to kill her in 2022. Schwitzky alleged that during an argument at the Boca Bash event, Goldberg held her head underwater, despite pleas from witnesses.
Goldberg, however, maintained his innocence, stating he was attempting to rescue Schwitzky from a boat. He opted for a bench trial, and Judge John Parnofiello delivered the verdict. The judge cited significant inconsistencies in witness testimonies and the presence of reasonable doubt as reasons for the acquittal.
Speaking after the verdict, Goldberg expressed relief that the truth had emerged, noting the emotional toll the accusation had taken since 2022. He stated his intention to return to law school in South Florida. Schwitzky indicated she was still processing the outcome and would address it further in the coming days.
