Three individuals lost their lives in a shooting incident that occurred on Saturday at an In-N-Out restaurant in Twin Falls, Idaho. Authorities identified the victims as Ashley Garibay, 23, of Stockton, California; Dale Schultz, 66, of Salt Lake City, Utah; and Christopher Claunch, 59, of Hagerman, Idaho. Seven other people sustained injuries during the attack.
The assailant, identified as 24-year-old Chad Williams, died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound following the incident. Investigators have yet to determine a motive for the shooting. Notably, an off-duty state trooper and a civilian engaged the gunman, diverting him from the restaurant and preventing additional casualties.
Among the injured was Austin James, a former law enforcement officer who confronted the gunman without drawing his own weapon. Steven Pixley also sustained injuries when a bullet struck his arm. The community is responding with support, planning a vigil and establishing a center for those affected by the tragedy.
