A second man has been arrested in connection with the suspected murder of teenager Donna Keogh, who disappeared 28 years ago. The 17-year-old was last seen in Middlesbrough on 28 April 1998.
Investigators now strongly suspect she was murdered shortly after she went missing. Her body has never been recovered despite extensive efforts over nearly three decades. This week, a 62-year-old man was arrested in the Manchester area on suspicion of murder.
He is currently being interviewed by police. This follows an earlier arrest of a 64-year-old man from the Leeds area, who remains on police bail while the investigation continues.
Detective Inspector Evan Kirtley stated that Donna's family has endured unbearable uncertainty for nearly 30 years and appealed for anyone with knowledge of her fate to come forward to provide comfort and peace.
