Suspect Arrested in 2023 Lake Elsinore Homicide

Samuel Salazar, 23, was arrested on Wednesday in Hemet, California, in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred in Lake Elsinore last year. The incident on May 7, 2023, resulted in the death of 18-year-old Noah Ivancso.
Deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff's Office located Salazar at a residence on E. Wright Street. He was taken into custody without incident. Salazar had been identified as the suspect shortly after the shooting but had evaded capture despite an active arrest warrant.
Ivancso was found with multiple gunshot wounds on Jamieson Street and was pronounced dead at the scene. The Sheriff's Office is continuing its investigation into the homicide and has requested that anyone with further information contact the Central Homicide Unit.
