12 Jan
Summary
- £20,000 worth of rare One Piece cards stolen from a traveler.
- Theft occurred on a FlixBus traveling between Germany and the Netherlands.
- Police closed the case quickly due to insufficient information.

A significant financial loss struck a young collector when his bag containing around 300 rare One Piece trading cards, valued at over £20,000, disappeared while he was traveling on a FlixBus. The incident occurred en route from Dusseldorf, Germany, to Eindhoven, Netherlands, with the collector suspecting the theft or loss happened near Roermond.
The collector, Anes Bouzouin, who is ranked as the number one One Piece player in the UK, expressed his distress and has been seeking ways to recover from this substantial blow. The cards included highly valuable items, with one unique card reportedly worth £15,000 alone. This loss has impacted his plans to open a card shop and provide a youth entrepreneurship workshop.
Both the police and FlixBus were notified, but the case was closed by Netherlands Police within three days due to insufficient leads. Bouzouin has since launched a GoFundMe campaign to help reimburse friends whose cards were also lost and aims to rebuild his collection, impacting his ability to attend upcoming European tournaments.
