Instagram Reel Lands Speedster in Jail

A 32-year-old man has been apprehended by Narsingi Police in Cyberabad for a perilous driving incident. He was clocked driving his Volkswagen Virtus at speeds exceeding 200 kmph on the Outer Ring Road (ORR). This dangerous stunt occurred on May 10, near the Narsingi Toll Plaza.

The accused, Kothapalli Yashwanth Reddy, not only endangered public safety but also documented his high-speed drive. He then shared the video on Instagram under his name, Yashwanth Reddy, drawing significant concern from other road users. Police initiated an investigation after a complaint was filed on May 19.

Leveraging technical evidence and social media analysis, the police successfully identified and detained Reddy. He reportedly confessed to purchasing the car recently and testing its performance at extreme speeds on the ORR. Authorities have seized the vehicle involved in the offense and emphasized strict action against such dangerous activities.

Cyberabad Police have issued a strong warning against individuals performing dangerous stunts or engaging in rash driving for social media notoriety. They are committed to taking stringent measures against offenders to ensure road safety for all commuters.
