An inquest has been opened into the death of Mason Miller, a 20-year-old who suffered a fatal stab wound to the chest. The incident occurred at Briar Hill Skate Park in Northampton on February 18th, around 3:30 PM GMT. During the same altercation, a 17-year-old boy sustained critical injuries.
Senior coroner Anne Pember stated that the cause of death was pending toxicology results. Miller's mother formally identified his body, which has not yet been released. The investigation into the event has seen significant police activity.
Northamptonshire Police recently re-arrested three teenage boys, aged 14 and 15, on suspicion of unlawful act manslaughter. This brings the total number of arrests to eleven, with all questioned as part of the comprehensive inquiry into the fatal stabbing.
